Lyle Talbot is a serious young man, a budding scholar and an adventurer who has stumbled onto artifacts of an ancient culture while doing research in Mexico, immediately after graduating from college. The artifacts are promising but don't amount to much. Lyle had unexplainable, strong psychic yearnings to go to the desert for most of his life.
