Starring Donnie Yen (甄子丹) and Andy Lau (劉德華), the 2017 crime film Chasing the Dragon <追龍> was a big box office hit in both Hong Kong and China, grossing nearly HK$600 million in Hong Kong and China. In 2019, the studios released its official sequel Chasing the Dragon II: Wild Wild Bunch <追龍II：賊王> starring Tony Leung Ka-fai (梁家輝) and Louis Koo (古天樂), which received similar fanfare in both regions.
